PROJECT BRIEF:
We were instructed to undertake building condition surveys across the academy estates portfolio of 7 schools to enable the trust to identify priorities for the condition allocation funding from the Department of Education.
The condition surveys include a full review of all basic compliance areas the individual schools should be undertaking to ensure legislative compliance. Along with this, the building was condition and priority graded across all major building fabric and service items.
On production of the report, budgets are produced for all recommended required works within a 5 year period to allow for planning of the School Condition Allocation received by the trust.
Following completion of the survey’s RAM were instructed to undertake structural and geotechnical surveys on one site, which lead a full remedial specification being developed and tendered for the structural improvements and various other condition improvements to the site.
Along with the above RAM have carried out further project work including a classroom block extension and continue to work with the trust on condition and compliance works across their estate.
